Why an MBA? “Toward the end of my time in the Marine Corps, I realized that I needed to compliment my leadership abilities with a strong business acumen and an MBA made sense.”
Why USC? “Being from California, I knew that USC has the strongest alumni network in the state and it was an excellent program so it seemed like the best fit.”

Why an MBA? “I realized as I was thinking about my transition from the military to the private sector that an MBA would be the best way for me to complement my military experience with the business knowledge I knew that I needed to succeed. I also recognized that an MBA would give me the broadest exposure to civilian careers and was the best opportunity to build a network that would help me pursue my professional goals.”
Why USC? “USC Marshall quickly stood out to me as a unique program that offered more ways to explore, experiment and experience a wider range of opportunities than any of the other MBA programs I had researched. Within my short time at Marshall, I had the opportunity to pursue a second Master’s in Business Analytics, participate in several consulting projects, travel to multiple countries and build a global network. I am convinced that no other program would have given me as many opportunities. In the Marine Corps, I also had the privilege to serve alongside USC alums who had all benefited from the Trojan network and continued to cherish their affiliation with USC – more so than alums from other schools. They had made it very clear to me that being a Trojan was something very special.”

Why an MBA? “When making the transition into the civilian world, I wasn’t positive on what career to pursue so attending a full-time MBA program seemed to make the most sense.”
Why USC? “Some MBA programs tend to steer students to specific industries like banking or tech, but at Marshall students were well represented across every industry. The other great thing about USC is the ‘Trojan Alumni Network, ‘ which clearly is a source of pride for the program and absolutely was critical to both my classmates and my own career success.”
